School Introduction

Iskandhar School was opened in 1961 as Hamidiya Montessori School. The school prepared students for primary grades for the first time in Maldives. In 1970, the school was renamed as Nasiriyah Montessori School. During the tenure of the first principal, the school was renamed as Iskandhar School in honor of Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar Siri Kularanmiba Maharadhun.
