To commemorate the Ministry of Education’s 93rd anniversary, a large-scale tree-planting activity was successfully carried out with participation from schools across the Maldives.
The event was attended by Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, along with staff members of the Ministry and representatives from all schools.
Organized to mark the Ministry’s Annual Day, the initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and support the Government’s “5 Million Tree Planting” programme.
During the activity, over 100 trees were planted in the beach area of Hulhumalé Phase 2 and at Shaheed Ali School. In addition, students and teachers from all schools in Malé and the atolls actively took part, making the event a truly nationwide effort.
