The Minister attended the 75th anniversary ceremony of B. Hithaadhoo School as the chief guest. Senior officials from the Ministry also attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, the Minister highlighted that the true success of a school should not be measured solely by the development of its physical facilities, but by its ability to nurture and develop students who will go on to serve the nation.
“The real success of a school is not the development of its physical facilities, but building students who will serve the nation,” the Minister said.
The Minister also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the school’s leaders and staff who have dedicated their service to the school, its students and the wider island community.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, plaques were presented to long-serving staff members in recognition of their years of service and contribution to the school.
B. Hithaadhoo School was first established on 17 April 1951 with 204 students under the name “Makthab.” It was later registered as Hithaadhoo School in 1998 as a government school.
Today, the school provides education from the Foundation Stage through Key Stage 5.
