Alifushi School was built in 1943 and taught Quran, Islam, Dhivehi, Mathematics and Tajweed. In 1960, the school was built of wood and sheltered by eat. It was first registered with the Ministry of Education on 2 June 1969 as Maktab-ul-Noor. Thereafter, on 6 June 1980, the school was registered with the Ministry of Education as Makthab Ali. On 11 October 1993, the school was renamed Alifushi School. With the introduction of secondary education in 2000, Alifushi School became a school under the Ministry of Education. From 1 January 2004, Alifushi School was converted into a government school. The school offers education from Foundation Stage to Key stage 5 Currently; Business, Science and BTEC streams are taught at the school. Currently has 443 students. 76 employees (63 local and 13 foreign) work to serve the students. The school aims to provide the highest level of knowledge and ability in a competitive environment of learning, with the cooperation of the government and the people build a dedicated, challenging person who respects the NEC doing and working hard.
It is our vision to make the students well-disciplined, care for the environment, be religious abide by the laws and rules of the country, respect elders, and be obedient to their parents. Students of this school will always strive for excellence and attempt to perform better. We will establish a facilitating environment where everyone cares for each other.
Mission of Alifushi School calls its staff and students for a strong commitment to do their best in fulfilling the responsibilities so as to ensure everyone grows intellectually and practice good manners, respects each other, contributes and competes as responsible Individuals. Abiding by the Islamic principle, we believe that we can achieve the above. To avoid challenging learning experiences is the primary concern of our school. Collaborating with the government and the community would be our strategy to accomplish our mission.
