Bodufolhudhoo School, a government institution under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, commenced its educational journey in 1978 as Maktab-ul-Irsad, operating under a special government permit. Officially recognized as an educational establishment on 8 June 1980, the school inaugurated its hall building on 16 July 1990, laying the foundation stone in 1990. Over the years, the institution expanded its facilities, acquiring a 2-storey building with 6 classrooms in 2017. The academic curriculum initially encompassed grades 1 to 5, expanding to include grades 6 and 7 in 1993, followed by the commencement of secondary education in 2008, leading to the administration of the GCSE examination. In 2016, the Commerce stream underwent reconfiguration, transitioning into the combined stream. Evolution has also marked the school's uniform policy, with initial attire comprising Adidas shirts for boys and white shirts paired with short green dresses for girls. From 1997 onward, uniform regulations shifted to white shirts and black trousers for boys above grade 4, while those below grade 4 sported white shirts with black shorts. Girls uniformly donned white attire. Notably, 2008 saw the introduction of white trousers for boys, alongside the adoption of an orange T-shirt and black pants as the activity uniform for boys in grade 4 and above, while younger boys received T-shirts paired with shorts. Girls' activity attire consisted of tracksuits with T-shirts.
