School Introduction
The foundation stone of MAEC was laid by on 1st Jumaadal ula 1403 by the Atoll chief of then Mr. Ungulu Moosa Kaleyfaanu and the acting Director of Educational Development Mr. Muhamed Latheef. It was officially opened on 22nd March 1984 by the Ministry of Atolls Development Mr. Abdullah Hameed. The school began / opened with 130 students, 4 teachers, 1 assistant headmaster and 3 admin staff. The classes were only up to grade 4. A total of 1735 students have studied in this school by the end of 2023. The school has witnessed a lot of achievements through the years and is acknowledged as one of the best schools by the Ministry of Education as well as the government and the community.
