With the wave of change and the consequent policy amendments that nation into a flurry of activity in many government institutions, many schools were converted to one session schools. A change as vast required huge alterations to the existing schools and its structure and Sharafuddin is perhaps the apitome of the aforementioned change. Seenu Atoll Education Centre founded in 1981 and Muhibbuddin established in 1992 were merged as one school with grades from 1 to 10 under the banner Sharafuddin School, a tribute to the renowed scholar from Hithadhoo, Sheikh Hussain Sharafuddin.
