The National Teacher Training Program is a program run under the "Transforming Education for the Future (THAIBA)" project, established at the Ministry with financial assistance from the Global Partnership for Education. This program is conducted in collaboration with the Ministry, the Maldives National University, the Islamic University of Maldives, and Villa College.
Creating a national-level teacher training program to ensure that teachers working in Maldivian schools are local teachers is a presidential pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
