The “Principals’ Conference 2025”, organized by the Ministry of Education, has begun as part of efforts to bring transformative changes to the education sector of the Maldives.

A special ceremony was held today to inaugurate the conference, attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, and senior officials of the Ministry.

Held under the theme “Transforming Education – Principals Leading Change,” the conference brings together school leaders from across the country to discuss government education policies and share ideas to strengthen the sector.

The main objectives of the conference include improving school management systems and further strengthening collaboration and cooperation among schools.

More than 210 principals are taking part in the two-day conference held at Crossroads Maldives.

Key sessions will feature presentations based on discussions between principals and teachers, along with updates from various departments of the Ministry. Sessions will also focus on the “Education for Future 2045” initiative included in the National Development Plan.
