With the rapid development of Hulhumalé, Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu has revealed that the government has decided to establish two additional schools to address the challenges faced by residents in the education sector. The Minister stated that one of these schools will be built in Hulhumalé Phase 1, while the other will be constructed in Phase 2.
 
 Speaking about Salahuddin School during today's session of the People's Majlis, the Minister said that the decision to convert the school to a two-session system was made to alleviate the difficulties caused by thousands of students crossing the Sinamalé Bridge to and from Malé every day.
 
 Furthermore, the Minister stated that the construction of the new school currently underway in Hulhumalé Phase 2 will be completed by the end of November, and this school will include 54 classrooms. He also expressed hope that the opening of this school will resolve many of the difficulties faced by students living in the Hiyaa Flats area of Hulhumalé.
