Third second session of the High Achievers’ Awards 2024 was held at the Social Centre, recognizing students who attained national top 10 and world rankings in the 2023 and 2024 O’Level and A’Level examinations.
The prestigious event, organized into five sessions, aims to honor approximately 1,800 students for their exceptional academic achievements.
The third session, held today, was graced by the Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Abdul Raheem Abdulla, who attended as the Chief Guest. During this session, awards were presented to students who secured 2nd to 7th place in the 2024 O’Level examinations and world ranks.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Education highlighted the ongoing challenges in recruiting qualified educators and encouraged academically high-performing students to consider careers in teaching, school leadership, or education policymaking.
The remaining sessions are scheduled to continue tomorrow.
