The Minister conducted an official visit to inspect the progress of the new government school under construction in Phase 2 of Hulhumalé. This project is part of a broader effort to expand educational infrastructure and address space constraints currently faced by students in the area.
During the site visit, the Minister was briefed on the latest developments and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the timely completion of the project. The school, whose foundation stone was laid by His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on 23 December 2023, represents a significant milestone as the first educational facility initiated under the current administration.
Once completed, the school is expected to provide greater access to quality education for families in Hulhumalé. The state-of-the-art facility will include 54 fully air-conditioned classrooms, a multipurpose hall, a turf field, and other modern amenities to support a well-rounded learning environment.
The construction has been awarded to Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd (RCC) on a contractor-financing basis.
