A training program for mathematics teachers in secondary grades at Malé city schools was conducted on 30th and 31st August 2025, focusing on supporting students with complex learning profiles. The program was inaugurated by Education Superintendent Ismail Saudullah.

Organized by the Department of Inclusive Education in collaboration with the Maldives National University, the two-day program was attended by 31 teachers.

The initiative aimed to enhance teachers’ capacity to support students with complex learning profiles. Sessions covered critical topics, including disability inclusion, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and tailored instructional strategies for students with autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, dyscalculia, and sensory impairments, as well as approaches to support talented students.

The training was conducted under the Atoll Education Development Project (AEDP), established within the Ministry of Education with support from the World Bank.
