Activities are being held in six areas of Greater Malé as part of a large-scale Children’s Day celebration organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with local schools. The festivities will take place on 10th May 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00, across various prominent locations in Malé, Hulhumalé, and Vilimalé.
In Malé, events will be hosted at Rasfannu, Henveiru Dhandu, Jumhoory Maidhaan, and Sultan Park. Hulhumalé Central Park will be the venue for activities in Hulhumalé, while Muhiyddin School will host the event in Vilimalé.
Each area’s program is being organized by school teams, offering a variety of fun activities and entertainment tailored for children. Leading the activities are:
- Rasfannu: Thaajuddin School, Hiriya School, and CHSE
- Henveiru Dhandu: Majeedhiyya School, Kalaafaanu School, Imaadhuddin School, and CHSE
- Jumhoory Maidhaan & Sultan Park: CHSE, Iskandar, Aminiya, Jamaaluddin, Dharumavantha, and Arabiyya School
- Hulhumalé Central Park: All Hulhumalé schools
- Vilimalé (Muhiyddin School): Activities organized by the local school
This marks the first time Children’s Day is being celebrated on such a grand scale by the Ministry of Education and participating schools. Beyond Greater Malé, Children’s Day festivities are also being planned in atoll schools across the Maldives, making this a nationwide celebration of children and their joy.
