Fenaka Corporation has officially been awarded the contract to procure and install air conditioning units across all government schools under the "Cool School" Project.
The agreement was signed during a special ceremony held at the Ministry of Education. Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu signed on behalf of the Ministry, while Managing Director Mohamed Najah represented Fenaka Corporation.
Speaking at the event, Minister Dr. Shafeeu stated that the goal is to complete air-conditioning all classrooms by September this year. He noted that the full scope of the project will span two years, ultimately providing air conditioning for both classrooms and school halls nationwide.
Launched last year, the "Cool School" project aims to enhance the learning environment by installing air conditioning in a total of 3,704 classrooms. As of May 2025, 802 units have been installed across 401 classrooms.
The procurement and installation contract awarded to Fenaka is valued at MVR 54,999,993.60.
