Minister meets with Addu school principals

 Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu met with the principals of schools in Addu City today to discuss strategies for enhancing the quality of education and addressing key challenges within the school system.

During the meeting, discussions focused on schools' activity calendars and measures to improve educational standards. The Minister stressed the need to minimize learning losses among students and sought the principals' input on addressing teacher attendance issues to enhance classroom teaching quality.

Additionally, the Minister shared updates on the development of a new Education Management Software. Principals were provided with detailed information on three modules of the system, which aims to streamline school operations.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of expanding opportunities for textbook writing, noting the high level of interest from various stakeholders. As a result, the initiative will be broadened to include additional subjects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister listened to the concerns of the principals and assured them that their request to reduce school activities would be given due consideration.
