On the occasion of the new academic year, Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu conducted official visits to several schools in the Malé region to engage with students and teachers.

As part of his official engagements, the Minister visited Rehendhi School, Hulhumalé Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), and Kaamil Didi Primary School (KPS). At Rehendhi School, Dr. Shafeeu participated in a special morning assembly, where he delivered a motivational speech to the students.

“In an educational institution, there are no individuals more honorable than the teachers who impart knowledge to students. Similarly, there are no individuals more deserving of care and love than the students themselves. The entire educational system rests upon these two pillars,” he stated.

During the visits, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving learning environments and announced that the ongoing project to install air conditioning in all schools across the Maldives will be completed by September 9, 2025.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Shafeeu emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices made by parents. He also encouraged students to pursue academic success through dedication and hard work.

The Minister’s visits reflect the government’s continued focus on enhancing the quality of education and fostering a supportive learning environment across the nation.
