In a meeting held today, Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafeeu engaged with principals of schools in the Male’ region to emphasize the importance of aligning with the Ministry’s policies and operational guidelines.
During the meeting, Minister urged Principals to strictly adhere to existing policies—including student admissions, the selection of student leaders, and the process for inviting chief guests to official school events—as outlined by the Ministry. He highlighted that following these standardized procedures is crucial to maintaining consistency and uniformity across all schools.
The Minister also called for strict compliance with the Ministry’s rules and regulations regarding school admissions, reinforcing the need for equitable and transparent practices.
In addition to these directives, the Minister listened to the concerns raised by the principals and engaged in discussions to find collaborative solutions. One key issue raised was teacher absenteeism. To address this, the Minister shared that the Ministry is currently developing a digital platform that will allow teachers to submit leave requests efficiently, streamlining the process and helping to manage staffing more effectively.
Joining Minister at the meeting were State Ministers، Male’ Zone Coordinator, and Head of the School Administration Division.
