A 3-day workshop on incorporating health and well-being into the education sector plan, organized jointly by the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, and UNESCO, began today. The workshop was inaugurated by State Minister Dr.Ahmed Mohamed.
A total of 56 participants attended this workshop, including principals from schools, representatives from the Ministry of Health, WHO, Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, Maldives Police Service, and various NGOs. The meeting was facilitated by Dr. Edward Addai, UNICEF Representative to the Maldives.
The main objective of this workshop is to analyze the health and well-being status of children and young people, develop policies and analyses, and formulate important strategies. This is expected to pave the way for incorporating health and well-being into the education sector plan.
