The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to the Maldives, H.E. Ishigami Rumiko, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Education, Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, today.
During this meeting, discussions were held on further strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the Maldives and Japan in the field of education. The importance of the assistance provided by the government of Japan for the development of the Maldives' education sector was also highlighted.
State Ministers for Education Dr. Ahmed Mohamed and Dr. Abdul Latheef Mohamed also attended this meeting, which took place this morning at the Ministry of Education.
