In celebration of the International Day of Education, UNICEF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is hosting a significant panel discussion centered on the theme “Building A Digitally Enabled Learning Ecosystem in the Maldives.” 

At the panel discussion held at Imaaduddin School today, leading figures from the education and technology sectors participated to study the increasing role of digital technology in expanding educational experiences at the national level.

The panelists include Dr. Abdul Latheef Mohamed, the State Minister of Education; Dr. Ali Fawaz Shareef, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at The Maldives National University; Ms. Aiesha Adnan, Co-Founder of Women in Tech Maldives; Ms. Shathrath Shakir, Leading Teacher at Aminiya School; Mr. Mohamed Jailam, CEO of Javaabu Pvt Ltd; Mr. Mohamed Musad, Chief Technology and Information Officer at Dhiraagu; and Mr. Ismail Looth Shaheem, a student at Villa College.

The event is a vital step in driving forward the national vision for an inclusive and forward-thinking education system that prepares the next generation of Maldivians for a rapidly changing world.
