Minister of Education Dr. Ismail Shafiu has extended his best wishes to all students participating in this year’s Secondary School Leaving Examinations.
In a message shared on Facebook, the Minister offered prayers for the students’ success and urged them to remain diligent in their studies, adhering to the guidance provided by their teachers.
He also emphasized the importance of respecting parents and encouraged students to begin each examination in the name of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.
The national examinations commence today, with 7,971 students set to take part across the country. A total of 260 examination centers have been designated—23 in the Malé area and 237 in the atolls.
The series begins with the Islamic Studies paper and is scheduled to continue until June 11, 2025.
